We specialize in NDE techniques for roads, bridges and pipelines using instruments and measuring devices that allow us to rapidly and accurately investigate their surface or subsurface condition.

Roads and Bridges
We accurately and rapidly address any surface or subsurface problem associated with roads and bridges through effective use of NDE methods. In most cases we collect data with little or no disruption to the motoring public. We have created efficient methods to integrate large volumes of data from various sources, and have an ability to perform a comprehensive diagnosis of the condition and needs of each road and bridge element under evaluation.
We also possess the ability to generate complete 3D digital images of the surface and the subsurface of roads and bridge components (decks, piers, abutments, etc.). In addition to providing a better understanding of their condition, our state-of-the-art imaging ability creates invaluable records to be stored and used at any future time during the lifecycle of a facility.
We use NDE techniques, including photography, infrared, radar, and laser based methods, to identify and quantify the ground movement hazard to pipelines that are located on, or, in, the ground. Excessive ground movement can become a major hazard to pipelines that transport fluids (gas, petroleum, water) over large distances, particularly when they transverse sloping grounds, cross waterways (rivers, creeks, lakes), or are placed in landslide-prone areas.
In addition to using NDE techniques to assess ground movement its effect on pipelines, our services include an ability to characterize hazards and quantify the resulting risks to pipelines. We can accurately track changes of ground movement over time, employ appropriate time-series models to predict cumulative ground movement and resulting risks, and, finally, recommend appropriate risk management strategies.
